The wide area of the Gacka river was caught in the recent war in Croatia. As a consequence of that war there are many left over mines in some surrounding areas of that river.
In the following text we are giving you the description of locations for which it is assumed, or known, that hide unexploded mines. This does not mean other areas are safe, and the movement in all other areas is only on your own responsibility!!!
The area of the Gacka river is mined on the direction from Sinac to Otočac, part of the area north-east of the Otočac suburb and the area of Drenov Klanac (used to be the right backwater of Gacka). The danger on the field is even greater because all the areas which are mined are not marked.
We again emphasize that all these information about mined or safe locations are relative, therefore the authors of this text take no responsibility in case of any accident caused by movement on the field according to the instructions from this text.
